By day, I'm a domestic violence prosecutor. By night, I read romance to restore my faith in love, relationships, and humanity in general.
Sooooooo often, the books that appeal to me as a parent don't hold my kids' interest, and the books that they love (and want to hear again and again and again and again and again) I find stultifyingly dull. This book is the too-rare exception: my 3- and 1-year-old sons love the animals and the sound effects and the comically angry Farmer Brown, and I love the opportunity to covertly teach them about organized labor and collective bargaining and strength in numbers.
