By day, I'm a domestic violence prosecutor. By night, I read romance to restore my faith in love, relationships, and humanity in general.
... and is there any higher tribute?
We have gotten this book from the library a half dozen times in the past year, so I'm just going to bite the bullet and buy a copy for my boys.
The Plot: Daddy and Trixie go to the laundromat and then back home, where panic ensues because Trixie's stuffed rabbit, Knuffle Bunny has been left behind. Every parent and child can relate to the trauma of a mislaid lovey.
The Illustrations: fantastic. Daddy, Mommy, Trixie, and Knuffle Bunny are comic illustrations, but they move through a photographed urban landscape, which is both visually interesting and also serves to heighten the drama of the tale.
