By day, I'm a domestic violence prosecutor. By night, I read romance to restore my faith in love, relationships, and humanity in general.
I got this as an impulse buy because Jane at DearAuthor.com said it was a sexy version of Pride and Prejudice, and because it was (still is) on sale for $1.99 at most e-retailers. But it wasn't actually all that steamy, and it didn't add much to the story. Adriani's version starts up where Elizabeth meets Wickham, and imagines how P&P would have been different if Darcy had told her the truth about Wickham from the start. Not much, as it turns out, at least before I got bored and moved on to other things. DNF at 82% (and most of that was skimming).
